A key component of the AI life cycle, Data Science, and techniques for knowledge extraction from data have emerged in the last several decades as an infrastructure for planning and decision-making. The sheer volume of data available today necessitates that all sectors take advantage of the insights gleaned from data to make informed decisions about the future. Accordingly, the Department of Statistics at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad hosted a data science seminar covering subjects like big data, financial and monetary analysis, data science and control systems, data science and artificial intelligence, and statistics and data mining. The Iranian Statistical Association and many dedicated scholars from Iranian industry, business, and national universities came together to associate with forming it, for the data science advancement in Iran. The seminar's outcomes should contribute to cutting-edge scientific knowledge and technological advancements.
